Adobe's Flash Player, Reader and Acrobat updated to close critical security hole

Adobe has issued an update to its popular Flash Player plug-in as well as its Reader and Acrobat software for viewing and editing PDF (portable document format) files. According to Adobe's security bulletin and advisories webpage, a critical vulnerability has been identified in the above mentioned software that can "cause a crash and potentially allow an attacker to take control of the affected system." Naturally, Adobe advises that users update their software to the latest version. The affected Flash Player versions are 10.2.152.33 and earlier (10.2.154.18 and earlier for Chrome users).
