Leading educational publisher Pearson has brought an iOS version of their eText browser-based book reader to the iPad (free), now available on Apple's App Store. Subscribers to Pearson's MyLabs/Mastering online homework and tutorial programs the option of viewing their books on a bookshelf on the iPad, either online or via downloading.
