The 3G iPad 2 has markedly inferior microphone input next to the Wi-Fi version, notes iLounge. Tests are said to reveal that 3G models generate "slightly muffled" input, also more prone to echoing. GSM-based iPads may actually produce better input than CDMA ones, but not by a large margin.
