Intel on Monday night said it was already resuming shipping some of the chipsets for its Sandy Bridge processors following the major flaw discovery. The company determined that some systems wouldn't be affected at all by the 6 series chipset bug, which degrades the speed of some SATA ports. The move would see shipments move up to mid-February where they previously hadn't been expected until the end of the month at the earliest.
