Using a technology called SoundPrint, a company called IntoNow has launched a free iOS app that identifies what TV show you are watching, tells you more about it, publishes a notice to the social network of your choice and lets friends or strangers who are watching the same show connect. The information can also be used to help guide viewers to other shows they would enjoy based on what they are already watching, and easily add shows to a Netflix queue or buy through iTunes.
