eMarketer put out an estimate on Thursday that gave Apple one more year in the lead for US smartphone market share. It had the iPhone increasing its market share to 30 percent in 2011 and fending off Android's 28 percent. By 2012, however, Google's OS would just overtake Apple's as it would grow to 31 percent where the iPhone would stay flat.
