The USPTO has newly published another Apple patent application, Touch Sensing Device Having Conductive Nodes. Originally submitted in July 2009, the filing suggests a way of making capacitive touch sensors more efficient. Apple argues that its concept would allow for thinner devices, at the same time reducing power consumption and cost.
