Taiwanese electronics manufacturer Coretronic has joined the supply chain for the second-generation iPad, a local report says. The company will allegedly be supplying BLUs -- backlighting units -- to two companies, Chimei Innolux and LG Display. Coretronic is said to be Chimei's only BLU supplier for the second-gen iPad, while LG Display is getting backlights from both Coretronic and another firm, Radiant Opto-Electronics.
