Amazon has announced that customers are now able to give Kindle books as gifts to anyone with an e-mail address. Customers can take advantage of the new program even if they, or the gift recipient, do not own a Kindle reader. The content can then be accessed from one of the company's free reading apps if a Kindle is not available.
