With the last school year barely over, Apple has already launched a new Back to School promo directed towards the fall semester. From today until September 7th, US college students (or staff of any recognized school) buying a Mac with educational pricing are also eligible for an $199 online rebate towards an iPod touch. This can get people an 8GB second-generation iPod touch for free; the model is the same as in last year's promo, which will not support some iPhone 4.0 features, such as multitasking.
