Glasses proposed in a newly-revealed Apple patent application would allow better hands-free use of an iPhone, and potentially other Apple handhelds. The headset would merge with an iPhone, putting a screen directly in front of a person's eyes so that it doesn't have to be carried. The two components would share data wirelessly, and adjust images appropriately for such a short viewing distance.
