AT&T, Apple working on lessening iPhone's network strain

AT&T is working directly with Apple to reduce the iPhone's impact on cellular networks, says the Wall Street Journal. The process is said to have been underway for some time, with AT&T executives initially flying over to Cupertino to give Apple a "crash course in wireless networking." AT&T workers have since made regular return visits, which has resulted in the iPhone making smaller bandwidth demands for tasks like checking texts or finding a celltower.
