Big in Japan, Firemint announce early iPad apps

Two developers, Big in Japan and Firemint, have each announced they will be redesigning current iPhone/iPod touch applications for use on the Apple iPad. Big in Japan is focusing on a new version of ShopSavvy, a barcode scanning app that helps find the best prices on products. The upgraded program will carry all of the original features, with the addition of features like video product reviews and side-by-side comparisons of scanned products.
