The likely successor to the Intel Core 2 Duo in MacBook Pros is the Core i5s which Intel introduced this week at CES. Engadget caught a video of Intel comparing their old tech to new tech. The first test was a iTunes rip which was about twice as quick. The second encode shows the advantage of virtual cores that the i5 have.
