Toshiba Unveils Cell-based TV

While IBM is stopping production of its Cell CPU, and that rumors indicate that Sony will adopt a x86 CPU for its PS4, Toshiba unveiled TV models sporting a Cell CPU: According to the manufacturer, the "Cell" TV offer 143x more power processing power than the current models. Associated with a high quality LCD panel, it will offer out of range performances:  LED backlighting is divided into independent 512 areas, offering true deep black and a contrast ratio of 9,000,à00:1!
