The WirelessHD Format Evolves

In order to follow recent innovations and get prepared to the future evolution on for TVV, the WirelessHD format, while remaining rather confidential, evolves. The new version will still work on frequencies around 60 GHz, but the transfer speed will be boosted to top 10.28 Gbits/s. It will then support TVHD in 1080p format, as well as 4K (4x beyond the resolution of 1080). Among new features, there is also a low-power mode dedicated to portable devices, but the transfer speed drops then to 1 Gbits/s.Last but not least, we should remember that this wireless format is working on a very small range, and its main goal is to replace all wires to interconnect TV, decoding boxed, BD player, Home Cinema sound systems and multimedia storage units.
