Google today posted a new update for Goggles on Android and the iPhone (free, App Store) to expand what and how well it can scan. The 1.3 app can now pull up results based on ads from large-scale magazines and publishers in the US, starting from August 2010 onwards. An unusual extra addition brings the ability to solve Sudoku puzzles just by snapping a photo of the original sheet.
