LG at a preview ahead of CES today previewed a pair of new TVs and a home theater audio bar. The LW9500 and LW7700 are both upgrades to 2010 sets like the LX9500 and use the new "nano" LED backlighting technology from the LEX8. The technique gives them a namesake thin film that, along with local LED backlight dimming, creates an image that is both much brighter and more uniform, especially compared to edge lighting.
