Logitech updates Gaming Software drivers, enhances Mac compatibility
As part of Logitech's rebranding initiative for its gaming products, the company has revealed that the Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) has been updated to support Max OS X for the entire G-line of gaming peripherals. The new version allow gamers to "enjoy the same great personalization and customized control our PC customers have come to reply on" according to the official Logitech blog.

RadioShack begins selling Mac accessories
If you mosey on over to RadioShack's website you'll notice that the nationwide electronics retailer is now, for the first time, offering an expansive selection of Mac accessories for sale.
Customers will now be able to select from the usual gamut of Mac accessories, from mice and keyboards to cables and connectors. Select locations will also carry iTunes gift cards.
With the addition of Mac accessories, RadioShack now provides a complete selection of Apple products, save for actual Mac hardware.

TweetDeck Air and TweetDeck for iPhone will be discontinued on May 7
Earlier this year, Twitter announced it was sunsetting TweetDeck AIR, TweetDeck for Android and TweetDeck for iPhone sometime in May. Today, the company updated its original blog post and confirmed that the apps will be removed from their respective App Stores and will stop functioning on May 7. The OS X and PC versions of TweetDeck will continue to function for the foreseeable future. On that same date, Twitter is also removing support for Facebook from all its TweetDeck apps.

Caturday: Cuteness alert!
Every once in a while, we see a Caturday submission of a cat photo that's so cute, it's almost dangerous in its intensity. That was the case when reader Kevin-Paul Deveau sent pictures of his three cats, all of whom are huge fans of watching videos on a 27" iMac.
While Sugar (a white Persian) and Sarah (a black cat) were both hit with the pretty stick as well, it was Molly (tri-colored Persian, AKA MoMo) who caught our attention. Here Molly appears to be perusing a list of YouTube finds in anticipation of some lap time while she watches her choice of video.

Apple löscht Siri-Spracheingaben erst nach zwei Jahren

Siri: Apples Rechenzentren speichern Gespräche insgesamt zwei Jahre
Den Kollegen von Wired gab Apple nun bekannt, dass sämtliche Siri-Daten ganze zwei Jahre lang im Rechenzentrum gespeichert werden. Passbook being used to test exclusive coupon offer in UK
A UK restaurant chain is experimenting with an iPhone-only coupon, usable through Apple's Passbook app, in an effort to attract new customers. The Harvester coupon, which offers £5 ($7.60) off any bill of £30 ($45.70) or more, "exceeded our expectations," according to the chain, with a nearly five percent redemption rate (similar ads generally see only a 1-2 percent redemption rate in most industries). The promotion was limited only to iPhone users who had Passbook, a feature of iOS 6 -- but the app is catching on with other businesses.

Small iCloud outages disrupt Game Center, email for some users
Apple has reported some brief but widespread slowdowns and unavailability of Game Center -- starting in the wee hours of Thursday and again later that morning -- coupled with a prolonged mail issue that only affected a fraction of one percent of users on iCloud.com for half a day over Thursday and Friday. The disruption comes on the heels of scattered reports of brief iTunes Store outages and a more serious iMessage and FaceTime problem ten days ago, the latter of which lasted over five hours. The Incident creators' new game is Space Age
Way back last July, we first heard that the developers behind the great iOS game The Incident, Neven Mrgan and Matt Comi, were working on a second game. This weekend's Lyrid meteor shower: Four iOS apps that can help you watch it
If you're a meteor maven or stargazer, this is the weekend for one of the year's best meteor showers, the Lyrids. The Lyrids come to maximum strength April 21-22, which for those of us in North America means late Sunday night and early Monday morning. The shower is caused by the Earth passing through the orbit of space debris left by a comet, and usually dazzles viewers with 10-20 meteors per hour from a point in the sky close to the bright star Vega in the constellation of Lyra.
How can iOS help? Well, there are a lot of astronomy apps that will point you in the right direction using the compass and elevation sensors, and give you some background on meteors and their origins.

Apple and Samsung file 2014 patent trial case management document
Apple and Samsung have submitted a joint case management document to the Northern District of California court for the second omnibus smartphone patent trial, scheduled for 2014. Besides making clear that there has been no progress towards a settlement since December, the parties have narrowed the scope of the trial to 16 patents, with further winnowing expected at some point before the trial.

Pupil for retina display Macs makes it easy to switch screen resolutions
Pupil (US$5.00) is an app specifically designed for Macs with Retina displays, specifically Apple's retina-equipped MacBook Pro range (rMBP). Although Mac OS X gives users 5 screen resolution options, they are cumbersome to access and change, with users having to enter System Preferences any time they want to change the screen's resolution.
Most users of a rMBP will be happy with the native retina-display resolution of 2880 x 1800, but more demanding (or adventurous) users may wish to regularly change their Mac's screen resolution to take advantage of the greater screen real estate rMBPs have to offer.
